A Letter To My Daughter

Letter to my daughter

International Women's Day also happens to be my daughter's birthday. And it made me think about the kind of world I hope she grows up in, and the lessons I hope she learns sooner than I did. Because for so many women, life quietly gets postponed. We wait until we feel more confident. More comfortable in our bodies. More ready to be seen.

I spent years believing confidence would arrive first - and then I'd start fully living. But motherhood has a way of clarifying what really matters.

"Confidence doesn't come before bravery. It comes because of it."

So this is a letter I wrote to her. And maybe it's a reminder you need too.

My sweet girl,

One day you'll realise something important. There will be moments in your life where you arrive at a quiet crossroads. Two paths. On one side: play it safe. Cover up. Wait until you feel more ready, more confident, more "enough." Sit on the sidelines and tell yourself you'll join in when your body is different, when your courage is bigger, when you've earned your place.

On the other side: discomfort. Being seen. Trying the thing. Wearing the swimsuit. Putting your hand up. Letting yourself take up space.

I won't lie to you and tell you no one will judge you. Some people will. It took me 36 years to realise: Confidence isn't something you find. It's something you build.

Every time you do a hard thing - wear the swimsuit, get in the photo, try something new - you deposit a tiny piece of proof into your own bank. Proof that you belong. Proof that you are enough. And those deposits add up.

So please, don't sit on the sidelines waiting to feel different. Go to the beach. Be in the picture. Take up space.

And to every woman reading this -

Your life isn't on pause until your body changes.

It's happening now. Go live it.

Your life isn't on pause until your body changes.

Fearless is designed to fit the body you actually have. Soft tummy, defeated tatas, all of it. Because feeling confident isn't something you earn later. It's yours right now.
